Aspirin Face Mask And Facial Toner

There are a few variations on the Aspirin face mask theme, all of them revolving around the mighty Aspirin for a base. Aspirin has been around for a hundred and so years, and just recently resumed full function in "do it yourself skincare".

Aspirin benefits

  • Aspirin is great for your skin. Basic function of it is being an analgesic and antipyretic, but more importantly, as far as skin care, it is its anti-inflammatory power. This is important when it comes to treatment of acne and other inflammation processes on the skin.
  • Aspirin contains acetyl-salicylic acid AKA Beta Hydroxy Acid, widely used in cosmetics as it is able to slough off skin cells thus preventing the clogging of pores.
  • It is a powerful ingredient that cleanses skin and treats the cause of acne
  • It is pretty cheap and almost everyone has it around the house.

    • Aspirin Face Mask

  • Dissolve 3-4 coated Aspirins in a few drops of mild water.
  • Add more water if needed until you get a mix that can be applied on the face.
  • Let it rest for 15 minutes (until it dries and undissolved pieces start to fall off).
  • Rinse off with luke warm water using a washcloth.

    • Be careful so that it doesn't get into your eyes - not pleasant.

    This mask is recommended for all skin types, although it shows best effects on oily skin and skin prone to acne, zits and blackheads. Apply this mask no more than twice a month.

    Aspirin Facial Toner

    Not only it tones the skin, aspirin facial toner acts as a god antiseptic. Added to it is vinegar which causes old skin cells to flake off much as the store brand does. Make the facial toner using one half water to one half vinegar and a few aspirins. Rinse your face with warm water and let it air dry. This will seal moisture in your skin.
